Blue Hawaii, progetto di stanza a Montreal nato nel 2008, da sempre accasato presso la ottima Arbutus Records, ha colpito la critica di settore fin dal suo straniante album d'esordio, quell' "Untogether", che da molti era stato avvicinato alle sonorità di Grimes, Julia Holter e Purity Ring. Il loro suono si è poi evoluto su sonorità alla XX, con vaghi richiami ai capolavori di Bjorkiana memoria. In autunno arriveranno in Italia per 3 date, dove la voce di Ra e le sonorità aliene di Dj Kirby ci porteranno a vivere live le loro ultime due release, nate in epoca Covid, i due bellissimi ep "Under 1 House" e "My Bestfriend's House". Blue Hawaii have been perfecting their craft for over a decade, and are headed to Europe this fall hot off their summer North American tour. Building upon their latest releases - 2020's 'Under 1 House' and 2022’s ‘My Bestfriend’s House’, two tour-de-force EPs showcasing dance-floor euphoria alongside soaring diva vocals. The duo is ready to offer European audiences a chance to dance and sing their hearts out. The two first met in 2008, at the heart of Montreal's burgeoning underground loft party scene. Finding their start with a bedroom minimal electronic sound, they gradually evolved into a more live and dance forward project, placing emphasis on celebratory and visceral catharsis. The essence of their work is threaded through the confident sanguine vocals and songwriting of Raphaelle “Ra” Standell and the distinctive production of Agor "DJ Kirby" Cowan.
